Introduction and Finish of Blue and White Porcelain in Guangdong Museum

The Guangdong Museum has been there twice in all, and the reason for the recent focus on blue-and-white porcelain is unclear.Because my understanding of blue and white porcelain is basically in the blank, the museum’s introduction is easy to understand, so I put it in order, the right to learn materials.

Blue flowers also known as” white blue flowers, “white porcelain to show under the blue pattern-based.However, with the development of blue-and-white porcelain and the improvement of decorative methods, different blue-and-white varieties have been developed. It is divided into three categories, one is the combination of blue and white flowers and other glaze colors, such as blue and white, red and green, etc.The first is the combination of blue and white and other underglaze colors, such as blue and white in the glaze;Another kind is the combination of blue and glaze, such as Ge glaze blue and white, bean blue and white glaze blue and white.Rich blue-and-white varieties, so that blue-and-white porcelain presents a colorful, purple and red situation.

blue-and-white cobaltEach exhibition has its own style

The Ming and Qing dynasties are the prosperous period of blue-and-white porcelain, each period of cobalt blue-and-white materials have their own characteristics. In the Ming Dynasty, the cobalt materials were mainly made of hemp, equal blue, gravel, recycled green and Zhejiang. In the Qing Dynasty, the materials were mainly made of Zhejiang and Zhuming, and the blue materials appeared in the late Qing Dynasty.Due to the difference of geological composition, the chemical composition and phase structure of cobalt materials obtained from different shovels are different, which will eventually appear in the appearance of blue and white.

At present, a large number of scientific and technological means are used for the analysis and testing of blue and white flowers. On the one hand, the results can explain the color forming mechanism of blue and white flowers more deeply, on the other hand, it can also provide the basis for the study of the origin of cobalt and the scientific and technological identification of blue and white porcelain.

blue-and-white porcelain production

Blue-and-white porcelain is made of cobalt oxide as a colorant, painted directly on the porcelain billet, then covered with a layer of transparent glaze, placed in the kiln, through1280C-1300CThe high temperature reducing flame of the porcelain is fired at one time.Jingdezhen traditional blue-and-white porcelain production process, there are generally clay, clay training, drawing, painting, glazing, kiln and other procedures.

The raw materials for making porcelain are porcelain clay, porcelain stone, kaolin, feldspar and so on.

Ceramic stone is composed of quartz, feldspar, sericite, kaolinite, etc.Kaolin is a kind of clay mainly composed of kaolinite, which is named for its discovery in Gaoling Village, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province.Kaolin.The fire-resistant temperature of kaolin can be reached1700The sintering temperature is about 1400 ℃ above the temperature. The sintering temperature and quality of porcelain products were improved by mixing with porcelain stone.

2 Lian Ni

Take porcelain stone or porcelain clay from the mining area, thrusting through water, washing, removing impurities, precipitate into brick-like mud. Then, mix the mud with water, remove the magazine, repeatedly flip or beat and practice, squeeze the air out of the mud, make the water in the mud even, the structure is fine, to improve the formation performance of the tire mud.

3 blank drawing

Place the well-worked tire mud in the center of the wheel, and draw the body out of the block with the help of the flexure and extension method.

4 trimming

To dry (or semi-dry) the body, the shape of the repair, grinding, digging bottom, drilling and other finishing work.

5 blank

Use blue and white material to draw on the flat tire, hit blue and white hoop or write blue and white characters, finally glaze fired.Use green material to draw string lines at the edge of the mouth of the object or at the shin, etc., commonly known as feeding hoops.

6 glazing

Also known as glazing, glazing, glazing cover, etc.Refers to the ceramic body on the surface of a layer of clay (or clay), flux plus water mixed into the glaze paste. This layer of glaze becomes a bright, hard glaze after roasting. Some porcelain of Jingdezhen kiln in Ming and Qing Dynasties were used in glaze application, such as spraying glaze, blowing glaze, wheel glaze, etc.

7 kiln

Put the ceramic blank into the bowl and put it on the kiln bed according to the kiln position.1280C-1300CThe high temperature reducing flame is fired at one time. The time course is about one day to three days.
